Bob Gibson Joins Jolt Software as Chief Revenue Officer

After years of success with POS leader, MICROS Systems, Inc., Gibson brings his enterprise-level expertise to rapidly-growing restaurant tech startup, Jolt Software.

LEHI, UTAH – February 3, 2020
– Jolt Software, the leading operations execution software for restaurants and other deskless businesses, recently announced the appointment of Bob Gibson as Chief Revenue Officer.

“I saw the potential for growth in the market segment and how little it had been penetrated by solutions like Jolt. The level of opportunity that creates…I just had to be a part of it,” said Gibson.

With over 30 years in the restaurant technology industry, Gibson brings to the table a strong background in marketing strategy, sales and relationship building, and scaling processes and operations at startups to remarkable success.

“Throughout my career, I’ve learned that success in this industry includes possessing the ability to go after the large scale, enterprise customer. If you can manage and implement big rollouts, getting the proper infrastructure in place to ensure success for customers, some really great things can happen. I’ve seen it done really well and I’ve seen it done badly.”

Previously, as GVP at Oracle and MICROS, Gibson rebuilt the sales and operations teams to focus more heavily to mid-market and large tier customers.

As Chief Revenue Officer at Jolt, Gibson will draw on his experience in go-to-market strategy by focusing his efforts on increasing brand awareness, enterprise sales, and optimizing a growth strategy to scale the business to global success.

“It all starts by defining the value proposition for customers and leveraging that compelling business reason to move to Jolt.”

Jolt helps businesses move checklists and other operational tasks from paper to a tablet or smartphone for improved accountability and decision making at the management level.

“It can’t be emphasized enough how key a management tool like Jolt is for running your restaurant,” said Gibson.

“Jolt is a fundamental tool for senior executives and their decision-making process, providing the right, real-time information to respond immediately and effectively.”

Unlike a point of sale (POS) system, Jolt focuses more on front and back-of-house tasks, like daily checklists, food safety temperature logs, and product quality monitoring common to any food service establishment with frontline employees.
